AMARaw Bar

a speakeasy, now online

  • The dimly lit AMA Raw Bar: grey stools around a dark bar, with glowing shelves of bottles set into warm orange walls
  • Chopsticks lifting from a plate of thinly sliced raw fish with shaved radish, herbs and edible flowers
  • A frothy pale green cocktail in a coupe glass on a ledge in warm amber light

Challenges

where they started

AMA Raw Bar had the room, the cocktails and the raw bar, but no website to show them off. Guests looking them up online had nowhere to go. Here’s what stood in the way:

  1. Challenge 1

No website to send guests to.

  2. Challenge 2

Needed hosting they didn’t have to think about.

  3. Challenge 3

Wanted someone on hand for updates and support.

Strategy

step by step

  1. Step 1: Got to know AMA and the speakeasy feel they wanted online.

  2. Step 2: Teamed up with our friends at Glasfurd & Walker, who came up with an amazing base for the design in Figma.

  3. Step 3: Brought that design to life with our own touch, building a website around their cocktails, raw bar and intimate room.

  4. Step 4: Set up reliable hosting so the site stays fast and online.

  5. Step 5: Stayed on for ongoing support, handling updates as the menu changes.

Results

the good part

A speakeasy with a home online

AMA Raw Bar now has a website that matches the mood of the room, hosted and looked after by HigherStack. When the menu or details change, they send us a message and it’s handled.

  • Website launched
  • Hosting handled
  • Ongoing support

Conclusion

in short

AMA needed a website, a place to host it and someone to look after it. With a Figma base from our friends at Glasfurd & Walker, we brought the design to life, hosted it and looked after it, and we continue to support the site as AMA keeps pouring on Fraser Street.
